Our commitment to research work
metaio GmbH is itself the end product of a research project. And with Augmented Reality - a field undergoing constant redefinition - maintaining proximity to research is vital. Accordingly, we remain true to our roots, working today as we have always done on a variety of projects involving a number of different institutions.
Period: March 2008 - February 2011
Within the AVILUS project, a consortium of 28 leading industrial companies, small and medium enterprises (SME), as well as research facilities develop and prove high performance technologies in the field of virtual and augmented reality. The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Technology (BMBF ).
Period: January 2007 - December 2009
metaio is one of six partners of the IMRONET project. Intention is the development of interactive user interfaces to tele-operate robots. Realisation: German Aerospace Centre.
Period: May 2006 - May 2009
Intention of the EU sponsored research project "DIFAC- digital plant for human based production systems" is the development of an innovative, collaborative production environment (CME) for the next generation of the digital plant, targeted to SMEs.
Period: December 2004 - December 2006
metaio was part of a program for the advancement of technology-oriented start-ups, sponsored by the bavarian government.
Period: October 2004 - October 2007
metaio as a development partner within the "Bavarian research network for supra-adaptive logistic systems".
Period: February 2004 - June 2006
metaio as a development partner in the BMBF (Federal Ministry for Education and Research) lead project to research and prove AR-based technologies for the use in industrial sevice environments.
