With the Unifeye Mobile platform metaio introduces the most comprehensive solution to create augmented reality applications for iPhone, Symbian and WinMobile devices.

Featuring a high-level API and latest image recognition technologies the Unifeye Mobile SDK allows developers to produce high-quality mobile augmented reality applications with low efforts. You can start right away with ready-made templates or create custom applications taking mobile augmented reality to another level.

Most important platforms supported: Unifeye Mobile SDK is currently available on 3 platforms: iPhone, Symbian OS and Windows Mobile. Other platforms will be supported, when established. The code-base is prepared to allow easy porting.

Optimized components for mobile hardware: Libraries and algorithms have been written by taking into account the hardware's limitations. As a result, the Unifeye Mobile SDK is a modular system which is fast and compact.

Features latest image recognition (tracking) technologies: This includes a marker-based as well as a robust 2D-texture tracking for arbitrary images. As the Unifeye Mobile SDK is built on the Unifeye platform, new tracking technologies can and will be integrated in the future.

Comes with configurable standard-app - for simple tasks, no programming is necessary: By changing an XML file it is possible to load 2D and 3D-contents, configure them to be shown at certain tracking patterns and trigger animations and sounds. The configuration can be edited and tested on the PC.

Supporting the .md2 model format: the Unifeye Mobile rendering engine features a  scene graph-system, animations (linear and splines), billboards, picking, various texture formats (including alpha channel)  based on OpenGL ES 1.x

Different programming layers: similar to Unifeye SDK on the PC, high and low level programming is possible with individual component access (rendering, capturing, tracking)
