metaio together with gannaca brand communication & think tank had the challenge to promote virtually a new building in Zurich. The assignment, called Project Q, had the goal to introduce architecture to 30 highly positioned leaders worldwide in an exciting and innovative digital way. Building design is now shown in a new perspective and brought closer to the end user.
metaio used the Mobile SDK and in collaboration with gannaca brand communication built an application that utilized 2D image tracking to give the user a 360 degree view of the building delivered straight to a smartphone. Users could examine every detail in 3D, rotate, flip and even virtually reconstruct the model. It is a fascinating experience that is both beneficial for the client and for the seller. Thanks to the Project Q application people can now explore in a more comfortable way even a building that hasn’t been built yet.
Augmented Reality is one of a kind way to explore physical objects in an amazing virtual experience. Since it is such an interesting tool, people easily connect with it. Adding AR to promotion was a success. It provided a new and inventive way of bringing the building to life. As a result, gannaca brand communication saw a 25% increase in user interaction within the app.
